Greece Wedding Anniversary Photos

Ever since our first anniversary, we had our sights set on spending our five-year in Greece. And, amazingly, we got to do just that. We had several long lay-overs along the way, in some pretty sweet cities, but spent most of our time in Santorini, Athens and Meteora. I’d have to say, my favorite was Santorini. The dramatic cliffs, the white houses, the laid-back island lifestyle, the fact that I got to just stroll around such beautiful scenery hand in hand with my love. It was pretty great.

In efforts to really take a break and hang out with each other, we took ย a lot of our vacation photos on our iPhone (some of which made it to my instragam if you want a peek.) But, we did haul around my “big camera” to snag a few of our favorites.

We rented an ATV and rode around the Island one day, stopping in the iconic town of Oia for a few sunset shots. Although this is the town you’ll see on all those postcards, I think we actually loved our town of Fira better. But, you vote – which one had a better sunset?

On another fabulous day, we hiked between the two cities along the calderas. Stunning.

Just a few from the amazing area of Meteora. 14th century Monasteries perched atop cliffs. With this storm rolling in, it couldn’t have been more dramatically breath-taking.

The driver of our tour (whose only english word was “beautiful”), commandeered my camera and told us (in Greek & with pointed fingers) to stand in all sorts of places. :) I may or may not take posing advice from him. His name was Dennis. He might have been one of my favorite parts of the tour. :)

So, just a little peek at our amazing celebration of being married for five years. (!!) I have to admit, the very best part was just spending time with each other. Cell service not included. When you both own your own businesses, it gets pretty easy to need that phone, so it was just wonderful to take two weeks with out it. And to just get to enjoy each other’s company. Lovely.
