Emily & Chris: Part 1
Red Pine Lodge Wedding
Park City, UT

Emily & Chris… I don’t even know where to start with these two. You may remember how awesome they are from their engagement shoot. They’re amazing. And inspiring. I am inspired by their love for each other and adventure. And, they picked the perfect place to combine the two: The Red Pine Lodge. It sits nestled in the pines of the Canyons Resort, accessible only by Gondola. (talk about a romantic adventure) And the day they chose turned out to be THE perfectly beautiful summer day, for a chic, beautiful, fun wedding.

seriously, how gorgeous is this place?

Then, you add in Emily’s incredible stlye, and boom. awesome wedding. Emily has this stunning tatoo of a peacock in the cherry blossoms, and she styled her wedding after that theme. Even down to the style of her wedding dress. Sheer perfection. (for real, isn’t her dress amazing?)

Her something borrowed, old & blue. Fergie blue. :) And the necklace was her grandmother’s. I just love the details like that that Chris & Emily included on their day.

Ok, this is maybe one of my favorite things about Chris & Emily. He is her steady rock, a firm and strong foundation.  She can always trust him and depend on him for anything.  She is his light, laughter and joy.  She brings the bubbly to his life, and she is his.

I love how these traits that make them perfect for each other came out in their pre-wedding parties. Hers was a rocking dance party complete with both beer & wine she had brewed herself (seriously so awesome!! and they were even named after their adorable pup! I can’t wait to meet that fluffy guy)

Aren’t these flowers by Every Blooming Thing, simply stunning? I just love all the colors!

Emily, you are gorgeous!! You have the most beautiful laugh! I just can’t help but smile everytime I see it… I’m pretty sure it warms your hubby’s heart too AND – The bride’s one request: pictures with the bob sled. I love this girl

Meanwhile, back at the lodge, Garett got a few shots of Chris & his guys as they were battling over the galactic something something (I’m not even good enough to pretend I know anything about star wars… help!)  Garett even got to play Hans Solo (ooo look I know one of their names :) He was pretty stoked.

The ceremony, was held on a bridge surrounded by pines & aspen, adorned with flowers and filled with the people they love the most.

It was one of the most moving ceremony’s I’ve been to. Filled with tears, laughter, and lots of love.

Her mom flashed a great grin upon achieving her task of being able to respond to “who gives this woman?” Missy, you are wonderful, and I’m so glad to have watched you give you daughter away, whom you love so so much.

It was performed by Emily’s brother, who managed to keep everyone laughing, while wiping away their tears. Mix that with amazing vows by both Chris and Emily, and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye around.

Garett & I capturing the same moment :) I love how these two were stealing a glance.

One last kiss at the end of the ceremony.

And you’ll have to stop back in to see some fun shots of the bride & groom and their awesome reception.

hugs!!

amy
