Destination: Italy
Florence

ntricate details outlined with colors and marks of age. This was the highlighting aspects that made our last stop in Italy fabulous. Florence was a working city, a Disneyland where people actually lived. It was so beautiful I don’t know that I can even explain it with words… so here are the pictures to tell the story.

Florence ::

The Duomo, the bell tower & the Baptistery

The old bridge

The view from our bed & breakfast’s roof terrace

After walking through the city all day, we decided to stop, sip on some tasty cappuccino and enjoy some amazing people watching in the Palazzo Vecchio. I could seriously do that all day long. Italians (and the tourists who come to see them, are quite entertaining)

Florence only gets more romantic as the sun goes down, and the lights come up… loved it by night

If we could return, I think we would go to Rome, Florence & Cinque Terre (with of course some wine tasting in there) If you have questions, or places that seemed particularly interesting – leave a comment, and I’ll give you a bit more information… or you can always just leave some wonderful blog love in the form of a comment. I love comments.

  1. Amy these are beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing, with us, your trip. Gorgeous!

  2. Amy, your pictures were just gorgeous…and making me want to travel right now. I especially liked the view from the roof of your bed and breakfast. Did you plan the trip and all the stops yourself, or was it part of a package of some kind?

  3. julie,
    i had talked with my aunt & uncle who have spent tons of time there, and then just googled a bunch of stuff to plan the trip ourselves. it was kinda fun to plan everything, and then just love how it ended up. :)

  4. It’s been so fun to see everywhere you went and get a little taste of Italy. certainly makes me want to go there that much more. We decided years ago that our first trip to Europe will be to Italy and this just sold me on it. :)
